Dark Tunnel

Into the Dark Tunnel we are called
We enter slowly despite being appalled

With fear and anxiety as we go
Feel the pain it's the only way to grow

As we walk we often fall
Like a baby we sometimes bawl

Bumps and bruises along the way
As we hurt we begin to pray

For God’s guiding light we seek
Even though our chances seem so bleak

In what form will it be
It is up to him you will see

Call to a good friend just to vent
From God it is often sent

Or a meeting a form it could take
Sharing with friends for everyone's sake

Despite feeling alone
You never have to walk the path on your own

Out the other side you will emerge
Hurt and pain you will purge

Happier now that you are out
Stronger too let there be no doubt

So fear not the Dark Tunnel when you hear your name
Instead search out the light burning like a flame
