Everything is fine folks nothing wrong with me
The shame, the guilt, and the hurt I can not see
Everything is fine folks don’t worry about me
My Spirit inside is hurting and wants to be free
Everything is fine folks I’m not affected by my past
This depression, anxiety and panic attacks how long will they last
Everything is fine folks my parent’s alcoholism not a big deal
Little did I know all that it did steal
Everything is fine folks I’m stronger surviving the disease
Until one day the lies I told myself brought me to my knees
Everything is NOT fine folks I was pretending it so
The disease of parental alcoholism took a big blow
On my body, mind and spirit wounded from its strike
My looks and my personality there was nothing much to like
Self hatred was the theme of my life
It brought to me so much chaos and strife
Then one day my recovery began
Hope for a better life that was God’s plan
Not to live in the past but to process it through
And discover the child inside and start our relationship a new
To levels I never dreamed my recovery has taken me
A connection with a Higher Power that has made me so free
My parent’s disease a gift to me I would later resolve
Breaking this Generational curse and making it dissolve
Setting free not only me but all generations before
Now they can rest in peace over is their war
So I give gratitude to God every day
“Everything is fine folks” with truth I now say

I think it's great! We carry so much hurt, eh? It's so cathardic to let it all go. Good for you. SO much heart and soul and pain and healing in the song. God bless.
